The Master of Science Program in Computer Engineering may be completed with or without a thesis. The thesis option of the program requires a minimum of 21 credit hours of formal course work, a non-credit seminar course and completion of a Master of Science Thesis. The non-thesis option of the program requires a minimum of 30 credit hours of formal course work and completion of a Master of Science Project. In either program, each student must complete the following two courses: CSE 501 and CSE 513. All students must take a minimum of 12 credit hours of formal course work from graduate level computer science or computer engineering courses. Graduate courses offered outside the program may be taken for graduate credit with the approval of the graduate advisor. Up to 6 credit hours of formal course work may be taken from upper level undergraduate computer science or computer engineering courses, when approved by the graduate advisor.
