The Information Technologies undergraduate program is designed for students interested in pursuing careers related to the analysis, design, development, implementation and support of Information Technology Systems in organizations. Opportunities are available in numerous industries and disciplines for the graduates of this program. Individuals interested in computers and business are good candidates for the IT program.
Our main objective is to provide our students with an understanding of IT concepts and processes, give them the confidence and skills to independently learn new computing technologies and processes, and encourage them to apply their existing knowledge to critical problem-solving. Starting from the fall semester of the senior year, students select their courses from a list of wide-ranging major area electives in order to specialize in their area of interest. In order to graduate from this department, students are required to take 134 credits and complete two internships.
